Senior Portraits

WITH YOUR HORSE: A girl’s bond and relationship with her horse can be something that follows her throughout her entire life. Even if she cannot continue that relationship, those memories will be there with feelings from the heart that will never leave her. In our session we will not only capture candid images of you interacting and loving on your horse, but will also take lightly posed images that can become lovely portraits to share and remember.

SENIOR PORTRAIT SESSIONS: We can take your portraits at a location of your choosing. If you want some portraits with your best friend or showing something about your achievements or likes, we can work that into your session. I have a studio for studio portraits as well.

Build your own package of products to tell your story

A typical equestrian portrait or senior portrait session can be an hour or up to two hours of shooting, usually at your farm or boarding stable or a location of your choosing. Senior portraits session fee is $95 for locations within one hour drive. This also applied to combination senior portrait sessions with both in-studio and on-location photography. Here’s what’s included

• Pre-shoot consultation
• Portraits taken of you with and without your horse
• My time and talent to capture tender moments showing both you and your horse at your best
• Photo editing of the selected images for your review
• A personal ordering session

Rather than having fixed packages where you end up with some things you want and other things you don’t, you will be able to build your own package of products including conventional photographic prints, canvas prints, other products and digital files. A package of high resolution digital files starts at $395. I provide lower resolution Facebook files for any image purchased 5×7 or larger at no additional charge upon request.

Why use a portrait photographer with horse experience?

I own and love horses. A good equestrian portrait captures the rider and the horse so they both look great. Many portrait photographers know how to make their human subject look nice, not knowing important factors that make your horse look great. My experience working with and photographing horses helps me to capture both you and your horse with pleasing perspective using the right lens and backgrounds. Quick response helps to capture those fleeting moments that make each image memorable and special. Ears up, communication in the eyes, alertness are all important for an excellent equine portraits.

I love the challenge of capturing your tender moments with your horse. You will feel and remember these moments every time you look at the images you select. I can travel throughout the greater tri-state region – from Northern Kentucky to Southeast Indiana – and most of Ohio for equine portraits. (travel fees may apply for travel over one hour)

Have fun getting your portraits made

You can expect an enjoyable and relaxed experience for your portrait shoot. While light posing and setting up shots is important, you can relax and enjoy being yourself. And I know that it is far better to be a little patient than to rush things if you will be including a horse or other animal in your session. We won’t be doing heavy posing that makes you feel uncomfortable and stiff. Take a look through my galleries to see samples of my work.

Photography can help you mark special times and transitions in your life (graduating from High School) along with the special relationships you have (with your horse or your best friend for example). Whether that is your horse, or your close friend, we can create photographs you will enjoy. At your selection session you will be able to choose from canvas wall art, professional photographic prints, other products and even high resolution digital files. And since there are no required packages to buy, you can build your own package of only the things you want.
